Annotation | Despite recent social welfare cuts, few would be surprised to learn that Sweden leads the way with assistive technology. Two Isobel Schwarz Award winners, Greg Brown and Hoa Nguyen from Lambeth Council, recently visited the Swedish Assistive Technology Centre to find out more about provision and the equipment produced by more than 250 firms. In Sweden, the scene is dominated by occupational therapy, and free care packages have been introduced. (RH). |
