AnnotationIn the last 10 years, policy-makers and service providers have made efforts to engage with and seek older people's views. Hitherto, much of the consultation has been poorly conducted, causing many who have tried to engage to develop "consultation fatigue" and become discouraged. A number of organisations have attempted to deal these failures by producing good practice guides on involving, consulting and engaging with older people. This pamphlet refers to some of these, and provides a quick reference guide compiled directly from older people's comments, views and experiences. The aim is to provide a useful tool to assist those genuinely seeking to engage the participation of all older citizens. (RH).
