AnnotationNIACE, the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education has agreed to establish and support a Commission to identify best practice in the UK and internationally across key areas in which adult learning makes a significant contribution, to identify the values, principles and practical steps needed to give life-long and life-wide learning for all communities in the UK. Age Concern England (ACE) response to NIACE's call for evidence on adult learning and demographic change focuses on: the expanding "third age" and vocational learning; personal and community development learning and the growing older (dependent) population; employment patterns; and demand for IT training.
