| Annotation | The Veteran Health Administration (VA) is the largest health care system in the US. The VA's Health Services Research and Development Service organised a State of the Art Conference on "Leading the way to quality long-term care : lessons from the past, strategies for the future" in September 2003 in conjunction with the Geriatrics and Extended Care Strategic Healthcare group. This short article introduces three papers that stem from the conference and outlines the aspects of long-term care that were considered. (RH). |
