| Annotation | The Community Care Alliance was established in 1989 to represent the interests of voluntary organisations in the community care field and to ensure that those in need of community care services received an improved service as a result of the reform process. By 1992, the Alliance consisted of over 140 national voluntary organisations and networks of local voluntary and community groups. The Alliance went national when the National Institute for Social Work began to support it in 1996. The newsletter ceased with issue no 12 and was superseded by its website which NISW helped maintain until NISW itself ceased operations in 2002. (KJ). |
