AnnotationPoor access to water and sanitation in Nigeria that is safe is highlighted, as are questions why older people have to walk a long way to fetch water. This article asks whether any solutions to the country's water supply problems, and comments on the demographic and public health implications. One of the reports available is based only on empirical observation and photographs taken in the field: no data is available on water-related diseases as they affect older people. (RH).
