KeywordsCrime ; Social surveys.
AnnotationCrime is measured using two different sources: the British Crime Survey (BCS), a large survey of a representative sample of people aged 16+ in England and Wales; and police recorded crime, covering crime reported to and recorded by the police, which provides information on local areas. This summary includes: trends over the last 25 years; who is at risk of crime; repeat victimisation; and perceptions of anti-social behaviour. The evidence suggests that older people are least at risk of violence. (RH).
