Annotation | CSCI is England's single social care regulator. It is a Non-Departmental Public Body accountable to the Secretary of State for Health for discharging its functions, duties and powers effectively. CSCI's principal general function is to encourage improvement in the quality of registered social care services and the provision of local authority social services in England. This annual report describes the work of the Commission and sets out how it met its objectives in its third year of operation. Paul Snell, is the current Chief Inspector of CSCI. (KJ) |
