AnnotationSWOOP is a regional partnership of agencies and organisations based at the University of Exeter that provides guidance, support and programmes to employers and individuals regarding older people's employability. SWOOP is part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) under the EQUAL Community Initiative Programme and by the South West of England Regional Development Agency. This paper indicates the multiple barriers faced by older people in re-engaging with the labour market, and their continuing need for information, advice and guidance (IAG). (RH).
