Annotation	Latest statistical report in Series DH1. It deals with statistics of deaths relating to England and Wales, classified by sex and age, and by certain information collected at the time of registration, such as method of certification and place of death. Tables in this series have been reviewed; there is now more emphasis on trends, and the analysis of seasonal mortality. The registration of life events is a service carried out by the Local Registration Service in partnership with the General Register Office (GRO) in Southport, which is part of the ONS.
