AnnotationThis literature review was commissioned by Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) in response to the UK legislation regarding age discrimination. The purpose of the review is to examine the impact of age discrimination legislation within the Higher Education (HE) sector in a range of specific countries where such legislation has existed for some time: the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Finland. The specific question that the review aims to answer is: What lessons can be learned from the experience of other countries with regard to the implementation of age legislation in the UK HE sector? (KJ/RH).
