Annotation | Since the 2005 general election, there has been a renewed emphasis on older people's housing issues, largely because an increasing proportion of the electorate is aged over 50. This document accompanies a research project, which is part of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation's (JRF) research and development programme, by authors at the University of West of England and Housing 21. The research was conducted between April 2006 and March 2007. The overall aim of the study was to explore the social well-being of 'frail' people living in extra care housing. This review explores the literature on best practice in promoting well-being in a range of housing and care settings. The Findings (no 2115) and the full report are available as a free download on the JRF website. (KJ/RH). |
