AnnotationNAPA, the National Association for Provision of Activities for Older People conducted a questionnaire style survey of care homes in the UK between September 2005 and September 2006, to establish an understanding of current activity provision in these settings. The survey was funded by the Big Lottery Fund (BLF) and The Consortium, a private care supplier. This summary report outlines findings from the 398 care homes (out of some 3000) completing the survey. The activities covered not only recreation but also daily activities such as preparing and serving food, and getting up or going to bed. (RH).
