AnnotationThe Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) published its housing Green Paper in July 2007 which sought views on the Government's proposals to increase the supply of housing. Age Concern England (ACE) notes one reference in the Green Paper to the impact of our ageing society on housing, that cites the number of existing and projected new households comprising one or more older person. ACE's recommendations concern: mainstreaming housing; improving the range of housing options for older people; external environment and infrastructure; older people and consultation (in the context of the new Comprehensive Area Assessment and Local Area Agreements); and responses to the "Well designed homes and places" consultation question.
