Annotation | Dementia is not the only mental health problem for over 65s. Despite the UK Inquiry into Mental Health and Well-being in Later Life reports documenting problems of older people with depression, their needs are largely neglected. Members of PSIGE, the old age faculty of the British Psychological Society are concerned that specialist psychological therapies for older people could be lost, though there are some notable examples of work with older people with depression: the Let's Respect campaign at St Helen's and Knowsley Trust; and an integrated mental health team in Doncaster.
