AnnotationThis publication highlights the key messages that emerged from a conference held in April 2007 and hosted by the National Audit Office (NAO) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on Promoting Well Being for Older People. Specifically, the aim was to learn about innovative ways that organisations had found to improve benefits take-up since the publication of the NAO report, 'Progress in tackling pensioner poverty: encouraging take-up of entitlements' (HC 1178-I Session 2005/06). Examples include partnership working by the eight LinkAge Plus pilots and the Partnerships for Older People Projects (POPPs). The one-day event was supported by Better Government for Older People (BGOP) and the Older People's Advisory Group (OPAG). (KJ/RH).
