Annotation | A study reveals that older women are less likely to receive standard management for breast cancer, as a report reveals age-related therapy discrimination. The research report is from the University of Manchester, "Non-standard management of breast cancer increases with age in the UK : a population based cohort of women >or=65 years" by Lavelle (et al) published in the British Journal of Cancer (2007). The study revealed significant disparities in treatment between women aged over 70 and younger women. (KJ/RH). |
