Annotation | The NHS End of Life Care (EoLC) Programme is part of an overall strategy to give people greater choice in their place of care and death, and to provide training for health and social care staff in helping care for people at the end of their lives. This circular letter from Professor Mike Richards, Chair of End of Life Care Strategy Advisory Board, is about the progress being made in developing a strategy for end of life care, to meet the health and social care needs and preferences of all adult patients about where they live and die. It is expected that the Advisory Board will report to Ministers by the end of 2007. (KJ/RH). |
