Annotation | Women are the primary consumers of mental health services, but research which addresses their needs lags behind that for men's mental health issues. The eleven articles in this volume offer a comprehensive overview for the health professional, and also provide an update for the practitioner in the field provided by established clinicians. Using current psychiatric diagnosis as a framework, the contributions address a range of mental health problems including dementia and cognitive impairment, cognitive functioning, alcohol use disorders, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex chronic dissociative disorder, sexual problems, eating disorders, and borderline personality disorder.
