| Annotation | A national indicator set has been developed as part of the Comprehensive Spending Review 2007 (CSR). This document sets out the headline definitions for the 198 indicators. From April 2008, these indicators will replace (and abolish) all other sets of indicators including Best Value Performance Indicators and Performance Assessment Framework indicators. Indicators are grouped under headings, including: Adult health and wellbeing (N 119 - N 139); and Tackling social exclusion and promoting equality (N 140 - N 150). Consultation is to be undertaken on the technical definitions of the indicators, in addition to which the targets to be used will be subject to negotiation between central government and the local area.
