Annotation"Commissioning framework for health and well-being" published for consultation by the Department of Health (DH) and the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), is intended to help implement the White Paper, "Our health, our care, our say". Age Concern England (ACE) welcomes the broad direction focusing commissioning of both health and social care on the prevention of problems and the promotion of health and well-being - although a definition of 'well-being' that could be understood by commissioners, providers and the public would be helpful. The exclusion of consideration of age equality from the equality impact assessment should be rectified. (RH).
