Annotation | The oil and gas industry has been discussing the concept and development of a programme of personal "age leadership" aimed at workers aged over 55 who want to take control of their working lives. Central to this programme is the relationship between personal and organisational leadership and the literature on successful ageing. This article looks at how by using the concepts of life review, story and reflection, participants are encouraged to assess the work situation, reflect on current and future goals, and to develop strategies for pursuing these goals in the workplace.
