Annotation | Clostridium difficile infection is recognised as a frequent cause of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea and antibiotic-associated pseudomembranous colitis in patients admitted to hospital in the UK. Despite all measures to curtail any outbreak, the. incidence of clostridium difficile has been increasing in recent years.
