AnnotationThe Audit Commission has led a 1-year pilot process to develop a set of quality of life indicators with more than 90 local authorities. This publication outlines the background to the pilot process and the lessons learned. It includes a set of economic, social, community involvement and environmental quality of life indicators, whereby local authorities and their partner organisations can monitor their community strategy. It suggests ways in which the indicators can be used. (RH).
