Annotation | On 28 June 2007, the Pfizer UK Foundation held its inaugural symposium event to mark the success of 110 community-based health inequality projects it has supported. More than 130 delegates attended, representing a broad range of charities, community groups and patient organisations. This New Statesman supplement includes an edited transcript of a round table on the role of the voluntary sector in healthcare, which was chaired by David Brindle, with Baroness Sally Greengross as co-chair. This is preceded by a personal view by. Cliff Prior (Chief Executive of UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship), in which he asks what the Department of Health (DH) is hoping that the third sector and social entrepreneurs will provide. The website www.policyforum.co.uk makes available this and other reports from the New Statesman and Pfizer Policy Forum. (RH) |
