AnnotationThis report provides indicators (based on 2004 information) for comparing pension policies across all 30 OECD member countries. It gives estimates of the level of pensions people will receive if they work for a full career and if today's pension rates stay unchanged. The report is in three main parts, the first of which presents the information needed to compare pension policies. Part II covers pension reforms and private pensions. Part III provides detailed background information on each of the 30 countries' retirement income arrangements such as qualifying conditions, the rules for calculating benefit entitlements, the treatment of early and late retirees, and information on any pre-reform scenarios.
