AnnotationThis report draws attention to the needs of older people living in care homes. It highlights the negative impact of the current level of Personal Expenses Allowance (PEA) on older people's dignity and quality of life. The level of benefit was £19.60 at the time of writing the report, and Age Concern is seeking the level to be raised to at least £40 per week for those living in care homes who are supported by local authorities.
