Annotation | The regulation of the social care workforce is based on three main areas: the setting of standards; checking suitability; and arrangements to ensure accountability. This article considers each of these in turn, with reference to the role of the General Social Care Council (GSCC) since 2001 and the implementation of the Social Care Register in 2003. (RH). |
