Annotation | In January 2007, Action on Elder Abuse launched new findings on financial abuse of older people in their own homes, based on a study of all calls to the charity's helpline during 2006. The first report in this issue of Action Points outlines these findings, which indicate the scale of theft, fraud or deception perpetrated by victims' sons and daughters. Also included are: an overview of forthcoming joint projects; an introduction to the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) National Older People's National Mental Health Programme; and the role of sheltered housing in promoting dignity.
