Annotation | This campaigning group is a pressure representing the interests of 17 million members of pension schemes, half of whom are directly or indirectly affiliated. It campaigns for a charter of members rights which calls for member control of pension funds and a reduction in employer powers to make unilateral changes in scheme benefit and contributions. Established in 1992, part of its campaigning measures were met by the 1995 Pensions Act but this open letter to all Members of Parliament points out the shortcomings of the new Act and calls for further amendments.
