AnnotationHM Treasury appointed Otto Thoresen to carry out a review examining the feasibility of delivering a national approach to generic financial advice. Although there is satisfaction that the Government is taking a lead on examining the feasibility of delivering a national approach to generic financial advice, Age Concern England (ACE) expresses concern that older people are not prioritised for help. This response comments on the main issues concerning the scope of generic financial advice, its cost and funding, engaging potential users, and governance arrangements. (RH).
