AnnotationIn their consultation on "Common core principles for self care", Skills for Care and the Department of Health (DH), the intention is to enable staff to support people with long-term conditions in managing their own care. Age Concern England (ACE) welcomes the framework, but queries the omissions. There is no mention of outcomes, power or rights; while there is no reference to some issues included in "A new ambition for old age": healthy ageing, challenging ageism, and end of life care. (RH).
