Annotation | Community care plans were first issued in 1992, and this sub-study analysed a sample of plans for both 1995/96 and 1996/97. Why such analysis is important is that it enables us to ascertain how a range of authorities locally have interpreted the planning task. The sub-study is part of a research project on inter-agency collaboration funded by the Department of Health (DH). The study examines whether the framework of strengthened incentives and clearer responsibilities for joint working set out in the 1989 "Caring for people" White Paper is, in fact, facilitating collaboration. It also explores whether it is enabling the development of integrated health and social care services focused on the needs of individual users and carers. (RH). |
