AnnotationUpdate was part of a series which described research and development projects carried out by members of the Division. The aim of the Community Care Division (CCD) was to contribute at local and national levels to the improvement of health and social care policy and services, by building bridges between research, development and practice. CCD closed in 2004 and reformed as part of the Institute of Health Sciences and Public Health Research, within the re-constituted Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development. The Nuffield Centre is an academic unit within the Faculty of Medicine and Health within Leeds University. (KJ).
