Annotation | Ten older Americans living in rural parts of Georgia were nominated to be in this qualitative study that also incorporated constant comparative analysis. As a result of this research, we know that this sample were deeply involved in a variety of self-directed learning (SDL). This form of personal learning was seen as highly engaging, variably structured, collaborative, and goal-directed. The findings indicate the importance of SDL in the lives of older people living in rural areas. (RH). |
