| Annotation | A feature promoting the launch of My Home Life programme run by Help the Aged in partnership with the National Care Forum, to promote the involvement of residents, relatives and staff in improving the quality of life in care homes. It is backed by funding from the BUPA Foundation. Behind the programme is the report "My Home Life, Quality of Life in Care Homes" published in 2006. It is hoped that this will champion the right of residents in care homes to lead fulfilling lives. There are plans to create a website where care providers can download educational tools and examples of good practice which can be shared. (KJ). |
