AnnotationThis document's key purpose is to guide members of the profession and training providers in ensuring that trainee clinical psychologists, upon qualifying, are able to meet the needs of older people, in whatever setting or context they come into contact with them. The guidelines have been compiled with regard to expected areas of capability of newly qualified clinical psychologists, and in the context of the eight standards of the National Service Framework for Older People (NSF). The document includes a model curriculum, and its aims, objectives and suggested syllabus content are outlined. (RH).
