Annotation | Together Against Abuse is a project funded by the European Commission in 2005/06 under the 2005 Daphne programme, a generic programme covering all issues of abuse. The project's purpose was to listen to and learn from families whose family member had been abused. The UK, Hungary, Denmark and Germany participated. The project was led by the Home Farm Trust (HFT), working closely with Voice UK, the key specialist network supporting families with learning disability members who have suffered abuse. The project held workshops with families in the UK, Hungary and Denmark, and the article summarises key points, for example, awareness and recognition, training and education. This article outlines the work of project, an important outcome of which is a booklet that can be used as an audit kit on how families can deal with all forms abuse, but particularly sexual abuse.
