Annotation | The aim of the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF) is "easing the pain of HIV/AIDS in Africa", one of its campaigns being in support of grandmothers so affected. At the 16th International AIDS Conference in Toronto in 2006, grandmothers from Africa and Canada presented a statement of their views on how the AIDS epidemic affects them, principally that they provide care for children and grandchildren.
