AnnotationThe Mental Capacity Act 2005 provides the framework for acting and making decisions on behalf of individuals who lack the mental capacity to make decisions for themselves. The Code will provide guidance to those working with and/or caring for adults who lack capacity, including family members, professionals and carers. This consultation paper invited comments (by 2 June 2006) on the draft Code, a separate document. (RH).
