Annotation | This brief article provides statistical data on the composition of housing association tenants, as found in a survey carried out by the National Federation of Housing Associations in May 1985. Most tenants were on incomes lower than the national average, and qualifying for housing benefit. Nearly a third were pensioners and almost half were single. More than one in five of those housed (21 per cent) were from an ethnic minority. (OFFPRINT) (KJ/RH). |
