AnnotationIn 2003, Section 64 funding was awarded by the Department of Health (DH) to carry out a 5-year development plan - primarily in England - to implement OPAAL's stated aims. This report outlines the operation of the national development project and regional development programme. It examines the work being carried out to fulfil the project's aims: promoting advocacy and building the involvement of older people; contributing to the development of standards and developing better practice; and improving access and developing links with minority ethnic communities. The report refers to work on the related directory and report, "Mapping older people's advocacy in the English regions". (RH).
