Annotation | In the UK, annual influenza immunisation is advised for everyone aged 65+. Immunisation can reduce the incidence of infection, and has been show to reduce morbidity and mortality in both institutionalised and non-institutionalised older people. The author explores the pharmacoeconomic evidence base to determine whether vaccinating all people aged 65+ represents a cost-effective strategy. (RH). |
