Annotation | Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) describes the phenomenon of hallucinations in older people with visual impairment. The hallucinations are vivid, complex and well formed. They frequently have no personal meaning, are recognised as being unreal by the patients, and can sometimes be voluntarily terminated by the patient. In this article, the authors discuss the syndrome's clinical course. (RH). |
