Annotation | Since the introduction of treatments for mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD) using anti-cholinesterase medication, memory services have been seen as essential components of old age mental health services. Most of the early mental health services were clinic based, but some have adopted a model that is community-focused. The authors outline their recent study in which they compared the working of a community-focused nurse-led memory clinic with that of a hospital-based memory clinic. (RH). |
