Annotation | Body composition of 80 hypertensive patients (43 middle-aged, 30-59 years, and 37 elders, 60-80 years) was determined by anthropometry alongside their dietary intake. Measurements were determined using mean body weight and height and other parameters included lean body mass, optimum body weight, body water, skin-fold thickness and arm muscle diameter. Body mass index (BMI) was significantly correlated with high blood pressure. With the exception of older women, subjects' mean energy and nutrient intakes were inadequate. (KJ/RH). |
