Annotation | Although much emphasis is being placed on involving service users in shaping health and social care services and in researching services, little has been written about such involvement. This article describes a 2-year research collaboration between researchers at the University of Lancaster and older researchers, and called Older People Researching Social Issues (OPRSI). Specifically, the article considers the challenges of, and practical barriers to, such research; and how involving older researchers in interviews with older service users adds value to the research.
