Annotation | Age Concern England (ACE) comments that, in recent decades, significant progress has been made in older people's well-being. However, persistent inequality remains, and on some issues, older people's experiences may be worsening, relative to other age groups. This summary identifies, first, inequality in society in terms of: income; health inequalities; social exclusion; the labour market; and prejudice, stereotyping and discrimination. Second, inequality in services include: health and social care; housing; education and employment services; and consumer markets. (RH). |
