Annotation | A report commissioned by the Department of Health (DH) in 1994, "A wider strategy for social care research", had identified major limitations in funding, capacity and dissemination. Ten years on, the aim of this Department of Health seminar was the assess the current status of social care research, and identify factors affecting the volume, quality and impact of such research. This report comprises outlines of presentations by speakers from lead commissioning organisations, who were asked to provide an overview of current issues and priorities, also how new partnerships or cross-boundary activity could enhance the potential for future social care research.
