Annotation | Although falls in older people cannot be eliminated, the conditions and situations that contribute to the risks of falling could be dealt with, controlled or possibly eliminated. However, where time and manpower is limited in small countries such as Malta, priority has to be given to those who fall frequently, present with falls, have unsteady gaits, have multiple risk factors for osteoporosis, or have sustained fractures.
